Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of ConsentIQ at consentiq.co, operated by Handwired LLC. By using ConsentIQ you agree to these terms.
1. What ConsentIQ Does
ConsentIQ is a tag governance and consent compliance audit tool. It uses automated browser technology to scan publicly accessible websites and report on consent implementation, Google Tag Manager configuration, GA4 setup, and related compliance signals.
ConsentIQ is a diagnostic tool, not a legal service. Nothing on this site or in any report constitutes legal advice. Reports reflect technical findings as of the scan date only. You should consult qualified legal counsel before relying on any finding for compliance purposes.
2. Free Scan Service
The free scan is available without payment or account creation. By submitting a free scan you confirm that:
- You are authorised to request a technical audit of the website URL you submit
- You have read and agreed to our Privacy Policy
- You understand the scan is read-only — no changes are made to your website
- You understand the free scorecard shows overall compliance score and module pass/fail results only; detailed findings require a paid report
Free scans are rate-limited to 1 per email address per 24 hours and 1 per IP address per hour. Abuse of the free scan service may result in access being blocked without notice.
3. Self-Serve Report Purchase
You may purchase a full audit report ("audit" tier) directly after completing a free scan. By completing a purchase you confirm that:
- You are authorised to request an audit of the website scanned
- You understand the report reflects compliance status as of the scan date only
- You understand the report is not legal advice and does not guarantee regulatory compliance
- You agree remediation and ongoing compliance are your responsibility
Reports are delivered digitally. Payments are processed by Stripe and are non-refundable once the report has been delivered. If you have not received your report within 30 minutes of payment, contact hello@consentiq.co.
4. Engagement Authorisation
Paid engagements ("audit", "audit + remediation", or "full service") are managed by Handwired LLC. Before scanning begins, you will be sent a consent link. By submitting the consent form you confirm that:
- You are authorised to grant permission for ConsentIQ to conduct a technical audit of the website(s) listed
- You understand the audit is read-only and uses automated browser technology
- You understand the audit reflects compliance status as of the scan date only
- You agree to the scope and tier selected by your ConsentIQ contact
This clickwrap consent constitutes your agreement to proceed. The timestamp, IP address, and exact consent wording are logged as a legal record.
5. Engagement Tiers

Tier and pricing are agreed before scanning begins. Full service engagements are subject to a separate statement of work. Reports are watermarked with the scan date and stored permanently in Azure Blob Storage; you may download them from your client portal at any time.
6. Requesting Implementation Help
After receiving a self-serve report you may request that Handwired LLC implement the fixes for you. Submitting a help request creates an engagement record and authorises Handwired LLC to contact you regarding scope and pricing. No work will begin without a separate engagement authorisation as described in Section 4.
7. Authorised Use
You may only use ConsentIQ to audit websites you own or are authorised to audit. You may not:
- Scan websites without permission of the owner
- Use ConsentIQ to collect data about third parties' websites for competitive intelligence
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the free scan service
- Resell or redistribute reports or findings without written permission from Handwired LLC
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable law
8. Not Legal Advice
ConsentIQ reports identify technical findings based on automated browser analysis. They are not legal advice, do not constitute a legal opinion, and do not guarantee that your website is compliant with any applicable regulation. Compliance requirements vary by jurisdiction, business type, and the nature of your data processing. We strongly recommend reviewing findings with qualified legal counsel before making compliance decisions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Handwired LLC is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of ConsentIQ, including but not limited to regulatory fines, enforcement actions, data breaches, or business losses. Our total liability in any circumstance is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Intellectual Property
All audit methodology, report templates, findings language, and remediation guidance are the intellectual property of Handwired LLC. Reports are licensed to you for your own use only. You may share a report internally within your organisation. You may not publish, resell, or distribute report content without written permission.
11. Data and Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. You may submit a Right to Be Forgotten request at any time via consentiq.co/rtbf.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of ConsentIQ after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of Connecticut, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of [your jurisdiction].
